Madrid, 11 de julio de 2025.- La Asociación Española de Empresas de Consultoría (AEC) ha elegido a Manuel Giralt como vicepresidente primero de su Junta Directiva. Giralt, actual Socio de Consultoría de EY, asume el cargo tras desempeñar la Vicepresidencia Segunda de la asociación, donde también preside la Comisión de Internacionalización y FEACO.
La AEC, que representa a cerca del 70% del sector de la consultoría y las tecnologías de la información en España, consolida su principal órgano de gobierno orientado a la excelencia y la innovación. “Estamos ante una gran oportunidad para consolidar el papel de la consultoría en la transformación digital en España, pero también como una industria referente en Europa, gracias a su calidad, su apuesta por la innovación y su internacionalización”, ha señalado Giralt.
José María Beneyto, presidente de la AEC, ha subrayado que “la experiencia internacional y la visión transformadora de Manuel Giralt aportan un gran valor en un momento en el que el sector debe liderar la adaptación a los nuevos retos digitales y globales”.
Con más de 23 años de experiencia, Giralt ha desarrollado su carrera en áreas como IT audit, compliance, auditoría interna, gestión de riesgos operativos y tecnológicos, y ciberseguridad. Es miembro del Global Steering Committee de Riesgos en EY a nivel mundial y lidera la rama de managed services dentro de Consultoría en EY España.
Además, Giralt es responsable del departamento de consultoría del sector Real Estate, construcción e infraestructura. Manuel está liderando proyectos de transformación digital, inteligencia artificial, optical character recognition (OCR) y natural language processing (NLP).
En el ámbito asociativo, tras presidir la Comisión de Innovación y Valor Diferencial de la AEC, Giralt lidera la Comisión de Internacionalización y FEACO (European Federation of Management Consultancies Associations), contribuyendo a fortalecer los vínculos internacionales y la proyección europea del sector.
